Hi provisionals,
Thanks for the advice Dr. Michael, just wondering what did you meant by breathing from the diaphram. Is it similar to when we take a step forward and breath in with our arms wide open and then breath out while closing our arms and bending forward?

Re: Provisionals 2013
Re abdominal breathing:-breathing in whilst stepping forward with arms outstretched, as Solon describes, does not neccessarily guarantee abdominal breathing, although it certainly encourages it; abdominal breathing is simply pushing your belly out as you breathe in, rather than expanding your chest as you breathe in. To practice, place your palm on your belly button and push it out with your belly as you breathe in, then let it flatten back as you breathe out- it's how you breathe when you're relaxed, and it helps ventilate the deeper parts of the lung. It also helps prevent panting/gasping for breath and panicking. Preferably breathe in through the nose, and breathe out through the mouth. I'm no expert, but it helps me (when I remember to engage it!).
