Re: Provisionals 2013
Provisionals,
To keep each other motivated I thought we should keep track of our signatures for our techniques.
I will put the signature status on the first page with the expectations list. Let me know how many you have and every time you get a new one so I can keep track of our progress.
So far Ammar is the only one that has completed his signatures, so once you complete your sheets speak to Ammar and he will advise what to do next.
Regards,
Fabian P.

Hi Team,
So far I've finished all my signatures. Fabian, Solon and I spoke to GMG and he told us that once we have finished signing everything off to had all the required documents at the same time.
-Pretest sheet
-Signed passport
-Essay
-Grading fee
We also have to tell GMG what wood breaks we are doing before writing it on the Pretest sheet.
please correct me if i'm wrong team..
Regards,
Ammar

Re: Provisionals 2013
Hi Provisionals,
I've been absorbing some of the wisdom posted by previous candidates who became Black Belts, such as Sir Jacob's mantra "what the mind can conceive, the body will achieve". Every technique the body learns needs mental reinforcement to improve it, so elite athletes will:
- select a technique and learn it's components (i.e. "how to" as per DVD)
- mentally rehearse ("visualize") the technique (this can be done during meditation at the end of class, or even outside the dojang in a spare moment)
- practice the technique sufficiently ("practice makes permanent").
Have also been looking for catchy Korean terms to complement the monk theme, focussing on words beginning with the letter M, for example "mi chin" in Korean means "crazy" or "mad"..."Mi Chin Monks"?? I also thought it might be novel to have hooded tee shirts, whatever name or logo we go with.
