Class ended all too soon for me last Wednesday night. Before I knew it we were thanking our partners for training, and I wished class could go for longer.
As I was folding my Dobok after the class a smile came to my face. My Dobok was soaked, my face was all sweaty and red, it was 10:00pm and I felt so alive!
As I drove home I went over the class in my head and I thought "how lucky am I to be able to train with such a fantastic Martial Arts instructor? - so brilliant at Hapkido, so awesome at teaching, and highly entertaining too!" And also "how lucky am I to train with such awesome students? - friendly, great at Hapkido, so much fun to train with."
When the alarm went off at 6:40am on Thursday morning, my initial thought was "why is the alarm going off so early on Saturday morning?". But as I tried to work out what day it was I remembered class the previous night and I smiled... it was such an awesome class!
I quickly got ready for work and headed for the station. I was in a great mood, recalling how much fun class was, still buzzing from the previous night's class, and smiled all the way into work as I remembered what a great night I had training.
For me 2 PERMANENT Seniors Classes a week would be absolutely MAGIC. What more could someone ask for in life than to wake up happy every single day?
But what would a PERMANENT extra Green Belts + class mean for you exactly?
It would mean:
1. 2 permanent Senior Belt training opportunities every week with the world's GREATEST Hapkido instructor on the mats!
2. Double the training opportunities for Senior Belts to train hard, to train focussed, to become better Hapkidoists
3. Double the opportunity to attain your Hapkido goals quicker than would otherwise be the case
4. You would become better at Hapkido
5. You would get fitter, faster, lethal
6. It will make you happier off the mats
7. Knowing that if for some reason you ever couldn't make it on a Monday night, you had a Senior Belts class on Wednesday to make up for it
So you're thinking that this all sounds great, how do we make sure we get 2 PERMANENT Senior Belt classes a week?
Personally I think its quite easy.
We've been handed the opportunity, let's grab it with both hands and never give it back!
If you're a Green Belt or above, get to class on Wednesday nights!
Not only for the next 2 weeks. Make it a habit to get to Senior Belts class twice a week going forward and you will be all the better for it, both on the mats and off.
I hope to see you all on the mats tomorrow night. I am looking forward to it!
Regards,
Ma'am Tina.
PS:
We need 27 students on the mats this Wednesday... but why don't we try and get 30 students on the mats? or 35?! If all Green Belts + make it to class tomorrow night then we will make 35 easy!
Don't be the one that spoils it for everyone.
