Hi All,
Just doing a bit of learning and want to find out what is stopping you achieving your goals.
Have you ever had a goal and not reached it and fell by the way side. Would like to find out why this has happened ?
Thanks for your replies.

Re: Finding Out what is stopping you
Sir Nathan,
thats is an excellent question to ask ourselfs everyday, I know i do almost all the time but i still fall into the side. I actually know what is stoping me but i find it difficult to confront. There are many personal goals that I yet need to acheive (black belt is one) to feel good about myself but until i jump over my hurdle its always going to be hard road for me.
hopefully i will find a way to deal with my issue.
Regards,
Fabs

Re: Finding Out what is stopping you
Sorry for the gravedig but this is an excellent question:
I believe mostly what stops us from achieving our goals is a change in the value proposition of our goals; i.e we loose sight of the value of a goal in comparison to the effort required to achieve it. Once the effort to achieve a goal appears to be greater than the reward of the goal then logically most people give up.
Only when achieving the goal is, to the proponent, greater reward than the effort can the goal be achieved.
New Years resolutions are classic examples of goal setting losing its value proposition, perhaps the goal is not specific, or the steps to achieving the goal are not clearly defined and measurable. Somewhere along they way most New Year goals fall by the wayside, because the value they offered at the onset is no longer equitable to the effort required to achieve them.
